Gaining muscle is good, but the scale will tell you otherwise.
If you want to know if you’re losing fat, the scale isn’t always your friend. Measure and record the measurements of your legs, arms, forearms, waist, chest, and calves. If your body circumference increases over time, it means your muscle is growing.
