The Tarragona Tennis Club has achieved an outstanding milestone this weekend, qualifying for the final phase of the prestigious Catalan Absolute Men's Championship. The team beat the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona at home with a narrow score of 4-3, securing a place among the eight best teams in Catalonia.
After the individual matches, Club Tennis Tarragona was already leading the confrontation with a 3-2 advantage. In the decisive doubles matches, Marc Mas, the club's director of tennis, and Àlex Valeriano starred in a key victory that sealed the final triumph.
This success reflects the balance between youth and experience that characterizes this team, made up of Genis Ribas, Izan Bofarull, Christian Santos, Marc Boada, Pepe Caballero (club manager), Marc Mas and Àlex Valeriano. The leadership of captain Juan Echevarrieta has also been fundamental in the team's path to this final phase.
Next December, the team will compete at the facilities of the Emilio Sánchez Academy to achieve the title of champion of Catalonia, reaffirming the commitment of Club Tennis Tarragona to sporting excellence.
