The veterans of the Tarragona Tennis Club achieve the goal of moving up to the second national category by proclaiming themselves champions of Spain at the Pamplona Tennis Club. The team traveled on Friday to Navarre to play the third category of the Spanish padel championship. Those from Tarragona competed in a group made up of 8 teams, where they came out as (4) favorites for the title.
It was a weekend with very contested qualifiers, where many matches were decided by the minimum. In the quarter-finals we beat Club REP by 2/3 and on Saturday, in the semi-finals, we got rid of the main favorite for the title, the Idzero Padel Tennis Club (1) by a tight 2/3 in the marker Sunday was the turn of the final, the 'reds' already with the goal of promotion achieved played to proclaim themselves champions, against a Club Padel Soto Torrejon which was the revelation team of the tournament and had not lost a single confrontation throughout the weekend, leaving the host Club Tenis Pamplona (2) out of the game. The final was up to par and the players of Club Tennis Tarragona once again, too. They finally lifted the champions trophy on the slopes of Pamplona by winning by 2/3 in a final match.
This team is made up exclusively of player members of the organization who train and enjoy the Cala Romana facilities on a weekly basis. A team that is used to winning important titles and that represents the values that Club Tennis Tarragona wants to transmit to its young players. On this occasion they had the collaboration of Clínica Dental Bo-k, Finques Prats, Garcia Riera SL, Gestoria Panicot, Traginers del Vendrell and Global-Talke.
