REMEMBER WHERE WE COME WITH AN IMPROVEMENT TO THE MONOLY OF THE ENTRY SOURCE
29/04/2022
A few days ago we did a small restoration on the monolith of the entrance fountain of the club area facilities. We have been in Cala Romana for years, enjoying this spectacular setting and playing on the long beach. Here are two brief dates on the monolith.
From time to time it is nice to remember where we come from, where we come from. The 'Law Tenis Club Tarragona' was founded in 1915 when a small group of friends often met to play tennis. D. Lluis Bonet i Amigó from Tarragona was the main organizer and soul of the section. He had a great fondness for sports. He sacrificed himself morally and materially and with his activity and dedication he managed to establish this sport in our city, and he managed to carry out the inauguration of the 2 tracks built on the street on May 2, 1915. Estanislau Figueres from this city.
A little later, in 1955, the members of the tennis section of the Club Gimnàstic agreed to form an independent company with great effort. A villa, land, tracks and facilities were acquired. It was then called the Tarragona Tennis Club. Our Tarragona Tennis Club became independent and the owner of the property, land and facilities, where its sports activities took place. These gradually increased as the number of members gradually increased, from one hundred to a total of two hundred at the end of 1955.
