MARTINA GENÍS, EUROPEAN SUB-CHAMPION

Martina Genís has made it clear that age is just a number. And at just 18 years old, she has already been selected for the second consecutive year to represent the Spanish Under-18 Team in the European Summer Cups.

This year, it has just achieved the runner-up at the continental level. Before that, however, the national team had to overcome up to 5 rounds, 3 of them in the preliminary phase:

• PREVIOUS PHASE, PLAYED IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC:
  • 2-1 vs. poland
  • 3-0 vs. Croatia
  • 2-1 vs. Czech Republic
• FINAL PHASE, PLAYED IN FRANCE:
  • 2-1 vs. sweden
  • 3-0 vs. Romania
  • 1-2 vs. Czech Republic

Of the 6 matches, the Spanish team only lost one: the final, which was more than contested. Martina has been decisive in the qualifiers, being key in the doubles, where we already know she is one of the best.

In addition to her, Ruth Roura and Kaitlin Quevedo were the other two players who represented the country, led by their captain Manel Cabello.
