With great sadness, Club Tennis Tarragona announces the loss of Leandro Campabadal, our member number 1 and one of the most beloved and representative figures of our organization. Not only was Leandro the longest serving member of the club, but he also considered this place his second home. For decades, he was a fundamental pillar of our community, passing on his passion for tennis and contributing to the club's growth with his unwavering commitment.
His personal and sporting history left an indelible mark on Club Tennis Tarragona and in the hearts of all those who were lucky enough to know him. At the age of 94, Leandro made history by becoming the oldest person to compete in a Spanish Tennis Championship, an achievement that reflects his love for the sport and his inexhaustible competitive spirit.
