LEANDRO CAMPABADAL COMPETED IN MONTEMAR IN THE SPAIN TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP IN THE +90 CATEGORY

The Spanish Championship was played the week of May 27 in Alicante, specifically at the Montemar club. His opponent in the semifinals, Enrique Ayala, was the favorite of the tournament and eventually proclaimed himself champion. For the first time the two tennis legends played an official match and the result was 6-2 6-4.
The veteran tennis player from Tarragona has a great record. He was champion of Spain in 2015 in the +85 category. In addition, he is four times national runner-up in the categories: +75, +80, for doubles and in the +85. Leandro Campabadal reached the top in 2011, where he contested the World Tennis Championship with the Spanish team, in a Davis Cup type format, in the +80 years category. Where he also got the third place in the Spanish ranking.
