17/05/2020
- Welcome to the David Club. What is your link with the city of Tarragona and our club?
My bond and commitment to the city of Tarragona has always been. Born here, I have developed practically my entire educational and professional career in the province, which allows me to have a clear and current vision of Tarragona society. I have been a member of Club Tennis Tarragona since I was a child; I have a lot of love for our organization. I have been able to enjoy all the positive stages and changes I have experienced and I am sure they will continue to occur in the future.
- Tell us about this new professional challenge you face at the CTT. Can you advance something of the project that awaits us?
The CTT is to me like a second home. A family and social meeting point. I face this new professional challenge with great enthusiasm and it is an honor to be able to work in an institution to which I have so much love and affection. I don’t want to rush to highlight aspects of the project, but I do want to dedicate my first words and good wishes to the partners. They are without a doubt the soul of our institution and I want from the first day, to work for them with the clear objective of maintaining the Tarragona Tennis Club as a Club of reference in the territory. Also eager to meet your team of professionals, together we will do a good job.
- Do you like sports? You have been linked to him for years, both in training and professionally ...
The world of sports has always had an important weight in my life. I am lucky to be able to enjoy it both personally and professionally. My career started far from this world, but in recent years it has been focusing towards this sector. I joined him thanks to the opportunity given to me by Gimnàstic de Tarragona as financial director, a club to which I will always be grateful. I have practiced many sports: football, swimming, mountain sports, horseback riding ... and I was a student at our tennis school for many years. I consider myself very lucky to be able to fuse passion and work at the same time.
- What do you want to tell us about your previous training or professional career? And of his learnings to this day?
My training in Business Administration and MBA from the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid has allowed me to work in different sectors of our economy as essential as tourism / leisure, transport, construction and engineering. Undoubtedly, learning from the peculiarities of each sector has been a very enriching personal and professional experience. With Nàstic I entered the world of professional sports and started working in the sector that always aroused my interest, it has given me the opportunity to train specifically in the field of sports and expand the my studies with a new MBA, this time specializing in the management of sports organizations at the European University of Madrid.
- How have you personally experienced the situation of COVID and what do you think about the immediate future?
I believe that this situation of exceptionality that we are experiencing will be a before and after in how we relate to our environment. Personally the experience has been hard, I have experienced this situation from many areas. On the one hand, I have suffered the restlessness and worry of having relatives affected by the coronavirus, fortunately with a mild involvement; lived the hard experience of our hospitals through relatives, I can only congratulate and thank the extraordinary work and effort that is doing all the health personnel.
On the other hand, we have the complicated professional situation, many companies affected, hard managements and decisions that have to be faced. I am convinced, however, that once again as a society, we will overcome these adversities. It will be a slow and complex recovery, but with good management and social commitment we will succeed.
