More than 195 players and tennis players from the province are located at the Tarragona Tennis Club

On Saturday, April 28, the Tarragona Xpress Tennis Cup phase - Jesús Serra Foundation was held at the magnificent CT Tarragona facilities. The result has been excellent with a very good atmosphere throughout the day.
Xpress Tennis Cup is the base tennis sports project, driven by the Jesús Serra Foundation of the Catalana Occidente Group. It is an innovative format, where players will compete in xpress games of 20 minutes. The championship is aimed at children between 5 and 12 who compete for teams representing their club.
The Jesús Serra Foundation works to achieve a better society and, to achieve it, inspired by the humanistic spirit that characterized Jesus Serra Santamans, founder of the Catalan West Group, is always guided by values such as solidarity, effort, healthy competitiveness, generosity and continuous improvement.
30 teams and 195 participants have formed parts of the Xpress Tennis Cup's Tarragona Stage that has qualified for the Grand Final . The event hosted different clubs in the province of Tarragona that occupied a total of 9 tracks during, almost, 4 hours that lasted this great formative tennis party.
A further boost for training tennis in Catalonia and in the province of Tarragona in particular, where there was also a Fun Zone, where Lola Ochoa (renowned tennis player in wheelchairs, current nº1 of the state ranking and nº35 worldwide) He conducted a clinic with boys and girls on the club's central track. In addition the children, parents could try the latest models of Wilson rackets, as well as playing tennis with the Giant Rackets. Tennis Aid was also present at the stand in the village, where the participants and companions could acquire material such as t-shirts and bracelets for the benefit of the association.
