(Sebas) - A brief presentation by Ramon ...
(Ramon) - I am Ramon Palau Martinez, now I am 65 years old and I was born in Barcelona. Married and with two children and two grandchildren, member of Club Tennis Tarragona since 1981, when we moved with the family to live in Tarragona to take the management of the new store located on the new rambla, General Optical although I continued with the White Cross, Fullana Optics and Amplifon Hearing Aids until my retirement, a whole life facing the public.
(Sebas) - When is your passion for tennis born?
(Ramon) - The truth that grows due to soccer injuries (meniscus and ligaments) which force me to put aside the sport of the ball to enjoy the racket. The CT Sant Andreu de Barcelona was my first club, I played at noon and at night when I started working, I caught this sport vigorously and once I arrived in Tarragona, the first thing I did was give me d registration in the CTT. I will always remember my first matches on the morning of 'seven o'clock'.
(Sebas) - You are an active member of the entity, apart from tennis, you collaborate with different sections of the club, right?
(Ramon) - At the moment, apart from playing tennis every morning in the championship championship, I also play online with the monitor Rita Gasulla and when I can participate in the hiking trips as the running I go having to leave it due to injuries.
(Sebas) - Do you like to follow the sport of the racket on television? What time did you enjoy more?
(Ramon) - I am passionate about sports in general, with the command of TV in my hand I enjoy any sport but I have a preference for football and tennis. Undoubtedly, when I was young, I enjoyed and very much with John Mcenroe and Bore, but I have to recognize Roger Federer as the best player and, despite being very good, he has had a great rival like Rafa Nadal that has prevented him from going ahead Bigger, so Roger and Rafa are my favorites.
(Sebas) - What tennis do you practice sports?
(Ramon) - Football, hiking and running, I did 1/2 marathons and mountain races.
(Sebas) - What time of time for the Club Tennis Tarragona do you remember most affectionately?
(Ramon) - I would say that the Davis Cup tie against Denmark and the remodeling of the club's current headquarters, two very important moments.
(Sebas) - What improvement would you do to the club right now?
(Ramon) - We need to cover the pool and enjoy it all year long.
(Sebas) - What does the 2018 Mediterranean Games mean to you?
(Ramon) - As a volunteer of the Games, I think it will be a before and after our city, as were the Games of 92 in Barcelona (saving the distances). We will have some installations of the first order and of which we will all be able to enjoy later. We will leave a great image around the world of our Mediterranean and I hope that the day will arrive to be a volunteer of the 2018 games in our club.
