Artiom Olivar and Àlex Abelló have been proclaimed champions of the VII Beneficial Open Paddle Against Cancer 'Memorial Chemo Domènech'. A very disputed final in which the winners have taken the title after beating Gerard Sarlé and Alex Calle for a tight 5/7 7/5 and 7/6. Regarding the female category, Imma Felipe and Sibel Kilic have won the final victory after winning Maria Álvarez and Irene Pérez in two sets. In a mixed category, the couple formed by Raquel Monterde and Carlos Trigo have become the new winner of this edition.

Beyond the sporting plane, the appointment has had a marked charity. The recent loss of Chemo Domènech, a face more than recognized in the world of the paddle, has brought together the whole family Paternell. A tournament that wanted to pay homage to its figure and where the collection of enrolled and voluntary contributions to the zero row will be delivered to the Spanish Association Against Cancer in order to allocate these resources to the fight against the disease.

The Open, which is held for the second consecutive year at the Club Tennis Tarragona facilities, was held from October 16 to 20 and ended this Sunday with the awards ceremony for winning couples and a draw for 'an Iberian shoulder. An act that has had the assistance of Ana Vilallonga, president of the AEEC in the province of Tarragona; Joaquín Paradera, Vice President of the Executive Board of the AEEC and Pere Lluís Bergadà, president of the Tennis Club Tarragona.
